AC3 and the Gaming Rig

I'm going to preface this by saying I don't have the best rig out there, but it's pretty meaty for what it's worth. It can run PlanetSide 2 on near max settings at 1920x1080 while always maintaining above 40fps, even in large scale warfare. About $900 if I didn't buy things on sale ($50 for a $200 mobo, yeah!)
NZXT Phantom (PHAN-001WT)
EVGA P67 SLI
i5-2500k slight OC 4ghz
8GB DDR3 2133 G.SKILL Sniper series
GIGABYTE ATI Radeon HD 6950 1GB
Diablotek 775w PSU
Old HDDs
I'm looking to upgrade that 6950 to a 670 or higher, I'll do that once I accrue  more cash. For those of you wondering what PlanetSide 2 looks like when maxed out, here:

But Assassin's Creed 3... oh man.

If any of you play on PC, you should know the pain it causes. Slowdowns, mouse acceleration, absolutely abysmal menu system, the list could go on... Especially in Boston, slow downs to ~30fps with VSync turned off in the INI, AA and Shadow Quality turned down to Normal since Low doesn't exist, and making my computer yell at me, saying it's running slow and shit about changing the colour scheme!

It's absurd!

This is the kind of shit I'd expect coming from a $400 prebuilt, not a custom build costing more than twice as much as that.

"Oh your computer just sucks!" Just.. just go away.. your kind is not wanted here.

More to come as I play though the game.
